I all,

regarding licensing issues, the community once almost decided that the
truly new contributions should be LGPLed. It was even question of writing
a LGPLed wrapper around barracuda core classes, just in case...

So if there is an opportunity to switch the entire project to LGPL, this
would be great I think.

The only concern might be patents issue. You know this might soon become a
burning issue here in Europe, and I understand it is already in the US...
I once read the the EPL was more protecting than LGPL regarding this
issue. But it is not really clear to me, as I am not a lawyer...
