in fact you can already use dynamic reloading of the dom from a file with
xmlc, allowing the achieve what you are looking for (have a look at the
examples and mailing list archive, look for Jake's messages on
DeferredParsing).

The proposed change would allow to choose which *ML to dom parser to use
(xlmc or jivan). I don't know yet what Jivan's plus are, but at least it
would give us more independance in a key field of Barracuda !

Oh, and Jake, this change is ok for me.
