Getting Started

Hi,

I am new to the concept of open source frameworks and though they seem conceptually a good idea, most of the people I have spoke to have said they are tricky to learn and hard to setup.  I was wandering if anyone had any advice on the easiest way to start to learn Barracuda and in what order the relevant parts of the process should be done.  Sorry for being such a novice.
