Barracuda uses log4j by default, but it does not require you to use that
particular framework for your own applications if you don't want to. That
said, I'm not sure why anyone wouldn't want to...

Look in the archives for 10/27 for a discussion on caching in Barracuda.

Not sure exactly what you have in mind here. Can you provide more
information?
