Well, it works now. About 2 weeks ago (right at Thanksgiving) I did a fresh checkout on my Powerbook and it worked fine, but two days later I tried again and got this same error. I wrote it off as a OSX problem, since there were issues compiling the config app anyway, but I got this same error yesterday on a Linux platform.
