What files are needed

Hello all:
I have rebuilt the barracuda distro from the CVS (5 Jan. 2004).
It compiles OK.
When I tried to run the tutorials ("hello1",...) I have found
that it didn't work. After some some work I have found that
the "xerces-1.4.4-patched.jar" was missing. Now all the examples
run fine.
My question is: There is no way of "systematizing" all the info related
to the jars files needed in the lib and jars subdirectories respectively?
It's quite confusing to read that some packet now is included in that
other packet, but than if you use jdk1.4.1 you should put...
I had another barracuda distro running well. Perhaps when I installed
it I went trough all this trouble. I don't know.
On the other hand, I guess making a "superclean" will delete the Xerces
file. If I make it some months from now I suppose I won't remember this
fact.
Perhaps I have missed some info posted in some place. If so I would
appreciate
any help. I'm trying to work with Barracuda, which I know since the
beginning, but
all this stuff about missing libraries or jar files makes me crazy.
Thanks a lot, and Happy New Year!
