Well, i'm agree with you and all your statements, they are correct. But imagine a situation where with a small change in a barracuda part you could prevent yourself from developing a lot of code (like the addition Christian have done to the OR for exposing the http session id which saves me a lot of work), you should then license that changes with GPL-aware license. I could go with that (even cause if the changes are small why not spread they to the community), but in some situation this could prevent the choice of Barracuda as a core for some (commercial) apps. I would only like to remark the fact, for the both LGPL and BSD style license are ok even if i would depend on me i would go with BSD/Apache style -- Thelmo
