I'd guess that the name "ListModel" comes from the fact that it's used to 
build a list of things in the *ML output, and not from the input data being 
constrained to the java.util.List semantics.

"IterativeModel" perhaps?

+1 from me. The semantics should still be clear, and allowing Collection 
instead of List doesn't hurt.
