There is something that folks could build on for Eclipse 2.1,
I found a project called XMLCeclipse, which is a plug-in for 
Eclipse that supports autogeneration of the template classes... 
But it is in the very early going...

If you want to play around with it, you can find a working CVS
build of it off of http://xmlceclipse.sourceforge.net/

Download the Jan 6 CVS one off the Wiki homepage as the 
0.0.1 version that was released on Sept 9 in the SF.net download 
page is broken (btw, bug Dave the chap who wrote it to release 
an update or at least commit his fixes to CVS, if you like the
plug-in).

Like I said it's not much...  but you might be able to get it 
working.
