Barracuda: Event Context during redirects

Speaking of keeping things on the radar, Bill asked me this question about
event contexts getting lost, and it was in danger of getting lost in my
inbox, so I'm forwarding it back to the list. I will try to respond to this

Btw, I posted a message a little while ago to the list and nobody responded
to it. I keep getting random losses of data in Event context between
redirects -- I am pasting my post below. Am I out to lunch here or is there

I have been having some irregular behaviour with EventContext keeping my
state when I throw ClientSideRedirectException. In 99% of the time it works,
but just sometimes I get errors caused by the fact that the state wasn't
passed.

By looking at persistContext I noticed that the EventContext state is
attached via WeakObjectRepository (I assume it uses WeakReferences). So is
it possible that in between the 'Document moved' browser response and the
subsequent client request java could garbage collect the precious state?

Any thoughts?
