I prefer Jakes propsal - I'm not familiar with XDoc, but have been using    
DocBook and wrote a bunch of XLSTs (btw: Theres a great XSLT mode for emacs    
out there..).   
   
Think of our bold plans to create a book. Even if these haven't gone any    
further beyond "would be nice", having the docs in a transformable format    
would be a good start for that.

While this is surely the way to go with html, I would prefer to _generate_    
clean html with stylesheets - and the work has to be done, anyway.   
   
I have to admit that I'm a text-editor-lover - so I don't use tools like FP    
and my last (kind of ignorant) view of them is "these thingies produce a lot    
of unneccessary <font> and <td> tags". Maybe their better now.
