Just wanted to let everyone using Barracuda know that David Li has
implemented the first stage of wrapping XMLC's version of xerces-1.4.4
into the org.enhydra namespace. The new XMLC-2.2-alpha4 demo (see
link provided by David below) has been
tested to work with Xerces-2.3.0 in CATALINA_HOME/common/endorsed.
There is no more collision between the xerces packages of 1.4.4 and
2.x.x!!!!

Work is continuing to be done to remove javax.xml.parsers, org.w3c.dom
and org.xml packages from XMLC's xerces jar. Once this is complete,
there should be no more collisions and XMLC will be totally compatible
with the latest Xerces-2 versions.

Oh, and CVS for XMLC has been moved to:
http://debian-sf.objectweb.org/cvs/?group_id=49

Just wanted to let everyone know about this. Compatibility with
Xerces-2 and the fact that XMLC-2.2 now has deferred parsing for
runtime document reloading should make the next release of Barracuda
that much cooler!

Jake
