I haven't noticed any problems or missing support in original Enhydra
director and Apache 1.3.26.

BTW, the AJP's list of features sounds very promising. If the AJP's
session affinity is really Enhydra compatible then I think Enhydra 6.0
could be based on the native Servlet Server connectors...
