Hi,
this is a typical scenario that workflow engine, like Enhydra Shark, is
dealing with.
To describe you exactly what you would need to do, more information from
your side would be necessary.
On the other side, to understand the concepts of Enhydra Shark, you
would need to know a little bit about XPDL standard, XPDL modeling, etc.
Enhydra Shark offers you out of the box:
- automatic distribution of tasks to appropriate user, depending on
XPDL model and your organizational structure
- monitoring of the process flow
- event audit recording of any action user did, and reporting
according to those data
Our WEB application written on top of the core engine, includes typical
worklist handler for every user within the company, plus many
more...including administration of the engine.
It also allows you to attach documents with the process instances, and
also provides a framework for writing so called WEB Flow applications
(XForms WEB pages driven by the workflow) and thus offers a possibility
to integrate Front and Back office processes into one system. E.g. a
part of the application can be public (Front office), available through
the internet to any user, and can drive "public" users through the
sequence of Forms (defined by XPDL model) to fill out necessary data to
apply for something...and the private part (Back office) can be used to
drive the processes within the company (e.g some public institution)
where the client's application data is processed by the different roles
within the company according to the XPDL model of the process.
