Reading configurationfile from Enhydra 3.1.1 source code

I have made a (ugly) hack to the Enhydra 3.1.1 source code, but I would like
to be able to turn it on and off in the multiserver configuration file. How
do I do this, is there some simple handle available to me that I can use,
and how do I use it?
