original message:

I am using a DBConnection to query the database directly
using the "executeQuery (String sql)" method. However,
when I call executeQuery it is throwing the following
SQLException:

The backend has broken the connection. Possibly the action you have
attempted has caused it to close.

        at postgresql.Connection.ExecSQL(Connection.java:330)

        at
com.lutris.appserver.server.sql.standard.StandardDBConnection.executeQuery(S
tandardDBConnection.java:396)

I have never seen this before, and am baffled as to what
could be causing it. If anyone has any ideas I would be
grateful to hear them.

My apologies for posting if this is a PostgreSQL problem
rather than an Enhydra problem, but I can't figure out
which it is.

Ryan.
