Problems with kSOAP2 & Motorola 388

I'm developing an MIDP application that consumes a .NET Web Service to run in a Motorola 388 device. In the development I'm using JBuilder 9 Mobile Edition as IDE and kSOAP2 library to call the web service.
My application runs in the default emulator without any error but when I try to run the application in the device I get the following error:

"Can't obtain IP address"

Any tips?
