Hi, I am wondering if the following is possible: I have Ksoap running on a PDA. I have Apache Axis on a PC. Both deviced are connecet with some network. I would like some Java code running on my PC to initiate sending a message to my PDA Ksoap. I know that it is technically not possible to run a SOAP Server on the PDA. I know that it is possible to connect SOAP with Mail instead HTTP. Questions: Is this also possible with Ksoap? Does somebody tried that? Can I send a single package from the server to the client even though no server is running on the PDA? Perhaps somebody can provide me with an article, example (code, documantation) for that? I have Sharp Zaurus running Jode (equivalent to Personal Java 1.2). I would like to install Ksoap on this PDA and SOAP Axis on my PC and then push a message from the server to the client in a one way using SMTP binding. If somebody has a better idea of how to do it, please do not hesitate. The importatn bit here is the server only knows when to send an info. The client does not know and therefore not initiate any request. The information is pushed to the client within the SOAP protocol.
