kSOAP and HTTPS/SSL

Again, I know there were posts asking about this.. But
I couldn't find a definite answer. Does the current
kSOAP implementation support HTTPS/SSL connections?
..or is there a patch/alternate method to perform
this? ..or has anyone looked at doing this?

Any info (even if someone responses with a "no") would
be greatly appricieated.
