kDOM searching/modifying help

Hi, I am a total newbie to XML and I am trying to
modify the 'Document' object by adding new nodes or
deleting some.

Can anyone provide a sample program which does that or
even a program which searches the entire XML structure
for a particular 'string' value.

Thanx a lot anywayz for the effortless inbuilt parsing
mechanism.
