Yes, I saw that.  I'm looking for more info on how Shark handles them
differently.  I've yet to find anyone who uses anything but "Role".

Greg, 

I saw some documentation in the JaWE tutorial under "Workflow
Participant Specification". (It seems from that that "role" and
"resource" are used interchangably as "abstract actors").... Perhaps
you've already seen this since you've been at this problem for a while
now.

Is there anything documented which indicates how Shark handles the
various participant types that can be defined in XPDL? 
  
The JAWE defined them (Resource Set, Resource, Role, Organizational
Unit, Human, System) but I can't figure out what difference it makes at
execution time.
