Re: Shark Locking

Hello Greg,

As we revealed in our last explore of Shark code, the engine locks the process instance while processing an activity. Therefore, all users of a group will receive the assignment, but only one of them can do the job (the first one that accepted the assignment). If another user tries to accept the assignment later, an error will be thrown (I am not sure exactly which one because we were looking for another things). If my memories are not quite correct, then only one user will be able to complete the activity. All later attempts will fail with an error. I understand that in some situations this "time" is too late to react adequately, but that is how Shark works.
