did a fresh checkout, still not solved

Yes is does

No it gives me:
....
prepareBuild:
     [echo] Preparing for build ...
  [replace] Replaced 0 occurrences in 0 files.

buildWRD:

BUILD FAILED
file:/home/delbd/dev/dissco/workspace/Shark/build.xml:551: Property jdk_dir wascircularly defined.

Total time: 1 minute 57 seconds
make: *** [buildNoDoc] Erreur 1

(please not with buildAll, it take 6 minutes to compile and conclude it can't, i bet it's an improvement :)

No, no such environnement variable

environnement is linux btw

Any other suggestion. We'd like to had transaction functionnalities to shark admin, but it will be
kinda difficult if code doesn't compile

btw, checked the build.properties, it looks ok and the jdk_dir is defined as
### ----------   jdk dir                ---------- ###
jdk_dir=/usr/local/j2sdk1.4.2_05/
