AW: Workflow best practise? Comments please (was Shark engine persitsted java variables)

This is exactly the way we are working here in our project when using Shark.
For each process-definition there is a table holding all data of the entity.
Each process-instance has a record in that table. For easier usage we store
the key of the process-instance in this record, too.

You can configure Shark to automatically purge closed/completed
workflow-processes from its database.
