Re: Using Oracle with Shark 1.1-2

Hello, as suggested, i downloaded the cvs version and activated the profilinig, debug mode
Here are result, as you can see, oracle version is by far slower than mysql. Lines like this one
2005-09-14 13:16:04,800: WfActivityWrapper.description took 1046 millis for [pId=9_test_bs_domath,aId=26_9_test_bs_domath_enter_math_parameters]
show how slow oracle storage can be.
I did test with oracle and mysql, each time instanciating some DoMath processes from test-Beanshell xpdl.
Then i tried show assignments in my interface. I did the test with timetracker level set to 120 and 80
While mysql shows very few action slower than 80 millis, oracle show lots of operation slower than 120 milli
as you can from the logged-off line, i did the operation several times for each page.

Also, i noticed the database initialisation when running ./configure.sh is considerably slower on oracle than mysql (13 seconds build time for
mysql, 1 minute 4seconds for oracle. Could this be more a DODs related problem??
