Problem with reassigning Assignments.

Hello all,

I am having an architectural question. I am trying to setup a deputy 
management within my own role-management for shark.
My custom assignment-manager querys my roles database and gets the 
corrsponding human manager for a particular process requester.  It is one 
requirement that this human manager has the possibility to nominate a 
deputy (or an admin does for him), so that from the moment he allows the 
deputy to approve for him (inside our web application) that all 
assignments assigned to him should be reevaluated (and go again through my 
custom assignment manager again).

I first thought, that i just have to query the assignments for the 
manager, and 
- accept the assignments
- release them again
in order that those assignments would be completly recalculated.

but that does not work.

does anybody have an idea?
