How Can an Activity Update variables

I am working on shark1.1 and JaWE 2.1.1 as the XPDL creator.

I need to let an activity after its execution update one of the predefined extended parameters on the process.
How can the activity do this update?

Ex: Activity "CreateNewOrder" updates the parameter "OrderType" (of the whole process) and sets it with value "New"
