Sorry for the absence for a few days.  My motherboard is failing and I had 
to migrate back to my old computer.

Anyway, the Log4jXMLCLogger has been committed unchanged to the XMLC 
CVS.  I also added log4j.jar (version 1.2.8) to release/build-lib so this 
class could be compiled.  Again, log4j will not be required at runtime to 
use XMLC.  Only if this log4j wrapper class is used will log4j.jar be 
required to be in the runtime classpath.
