setForceCloseTags???

Anybody got any idea what "setForceCloseTags()" is about?  Does this 
have to do with the XHTML compatibility stuff?  If so, how do I make it 
go away?  It's ruining my evening ;}

I just downloaded 2.2.3 and it didn't seem to help.
