net.grinder.console error

Hello,

 

I am new to The Grinder and need some help to get started.

 

(In my Windows 7 machine) I have setup a demo directory underneath
grinder-3.4 in my windows box and in the lib directory where grider.jar
resides, I am trying to run the following cmd:

C:\grinder-3.4\lib>java net.grinder.Console

Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError:
net/grinder/Console

Caused by: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: net.grinder.Console

        at java.net.URLClassLoader$1.run(Unknown Source)

        at java.security.AccessController.doPrivileged(Native Method)

        at java.net.URLClassLoader.findClass(Unknown Source)

        at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(Unknown Source)

        at sun.misc.Launcher$AppClassLoader.loadClass(Unknown Source)

        at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(Unknown Source)

        at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClassInternal(Unknown Source)

Could not find the main class: net.grinder.Console.  Program will exit.

 

In the same demo directory I have the essential files suggested by the
grinder web site:

setGrinderEnv.cmd, startAgent.cmd, etc.

 

I have also set CLASSPATH using:  c:\grinder-3.4\lib\grinder.jar    or
should it be: c:\grinder-3.4\lib ?

 

Would you know why I am getting the error above?
