The total number of tests displayed below can sometimes be higher than the total number of tests run. This seems not to happen if only 1 thread is used for each agent.

See screenshot:
20 * 44 = 880 but the number of tests displayed is 986

This is on both Grinder 3.2 and Grinder 3.6

Currently on  Sun java version "1.6.0_26"
