Category: HTTP Plugin Group: None Status: Pending Resolution: Fixed Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: https://www.google.com/accounts () Assigned to: Philip Aston (philipa) Summary: "time to establish connection" for re-used connection Initial Comment: I'm using The Grinder version 3.9.1. My data log is in an unexpected state. In some lines, the value for "time to establish connection" is larger than "time to first byte". See thread in grinder-use mailing list: https://sourceforge.net/mailarchive/forum.php?thread_name=1346091906.34715.YahooMailNeo%40web114717.mail.gq1.yahoo.com&forum_name=grinder-use ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Philip Aston (philipa) Date: 2012-09-12 14:02 Message: Previous comment should have been: The HTTP plugin host resolution and connection establishment times are now only recorded when a new connection is established; for tests that re-use connections, these values will be zero. The summary statistics average these values over the number of established connections, not all tests. A "New connections" statistic is available in the data log. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Philip Aston (philipa) Date: 2012-09-10 01:18 Message: Implemented for next release: The HTTP plugin connection establishment and first byte times are now only recorded when a new connection is established; for tests that re-use connections, these values will be zero.
