Right - I see the same thing.

It's not really a grinder issue but down to how modern browsers manage
security UI for the primary resource (the one you typed into the URL
bar) vs secondary resources. You're workaround is reasonable.

OTOH, try to access https://plus.google.com/ or https://twitter.com. If
you see the same as me, the browser (chrome or FF) won't even let you
add an exception. I'm not sure how the browser figures out these sites
are special - maybe there's an OCSP check.
