I assume you are using TCP Proxy to record your scripts..? 

If you have the APIs for doing this, i suggest you write your own scripts in
jython. It would be a lot lot lot easier that way.

Coming to your question, you might have to edit the generated grinder
scripts in order to get the flexibility you need.
