On windows that's a modal dialog and you can't access any menu. On Mac, as you say, the menu is accessible but not enabled. As a workaround you can select text and command-C it. (likewise on Windows with ctrl-c). Not ideal, don't know if there's any solution, as it might well be built into the Java GUI toolkit. Pete
