How to use ikvm in this scenario?

Hi all I am new to ikvm and I have read all the materials/documents on the website. It is a very nice initiative, and I was wondering if it can be used in the following scenario/usecase: 1. I am active contributed to openHAB (www.openhab.org), a open-source java-based platform for home automation. openHAB uses various technologies/external libs, heavily depends on OSGi, and needs java 1.6/1.7 in order to run 2. In openHAB I would like to add support for ATS Advanced alarm/intrusion detection systems; I happen to have a SDK to this alarm system, and that SDK is a set of C#/.NET libraries. 3. The communication to the alarm system is done via TCP/IP, the SDK encapsulates a message protocol to query the alarm system 4. All of this runs on top of Mac OS X 10.9 As suggested on the website I could perform this integration by running the openHAB runtime through the ikvm VM, but this is a route, for all the other complexities in openHAB, I prefer not to take. Is there another way to integrate a C# program into java? Ideally, I think I would need something that is the inverse of ikvm, a C# JIT implemeted in Java My alternative solution is to create a server running on top of Mono that talks to the alarm system via TCP, and that on the other hand talks to the openHAB java instance via TCP on the other hand. I would function as a funnel for the message protocol of the alarm system, but is is overkill in a certain way. (but rather easy, as the SDK contains a reference implementation in C# to talk to the alarm system).
