I remember many hassles finding the right set of incantations to make this work, but it's worth persevering, because once you do get it working, it's miraculous. Seeing Visual Studio single-stepping through Java source code is an amazing thing to behold! Unfortunately as will all configuration issues, once you have it working it's hard to remember what the obstacles were, and therefore hard to advise other people what they might be doing wrong.
