Thanks for your reply Jeroen. Dne St 18. Ășnora 2015 07:41:15, Jeroen Frijters napsal(a): > Jaroslav Tulach wrote: > > > I believe ikvm is the most complete Java VM for Windows Phone. That sounds like a horrible statement, but it may depend on proper interpretation of what it means "out of the box". What I know: 1. C#/.Net code can run on Windows Phone I followed some tutorials and I have application with bunch of .xaml and .cs files and I can execute it in Windows Phone 8.1 simulator. I have seen similar tutorials for VB. Conclusion: .net bytecode can run on Windows Phone. 2. ikvm generates .net bytecode I've been following GNU ClassPath RSS (where your blog is syndicated) and based on reading it + my own bck2brwsr vm experience I am assuming you can convert Java bytecode to .net bytecode. 3. ikvm produces DLLs ikvm can convert a JAR into DLL and I am assuming Visual Studio allows me to add DLL into my C#/XAML project. Conclusion: I will be able to run Java code on Windows Phone thanks to IKVM. Are the previous conclusions true? If so and you still say: "not supported out of the box" - what do you mean by "the box"? Packaging of the final application? Something else? Thanks in advance for more insight and of course for keeping ikvm alive. -jt ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Download BIRT iHub F-Type - The Free Enterprise-Grade BIRT Server from Actuate!
