Hello I recently discovered your post on being able to run minecraft on IKVM.NET, and having tried it myself (using ikvm-8.0.5449.1), was reasonable impressed. I then attempted to run a minecraft instance with forge installed (http://files.minecraftforge.net/, 1.7.10-Recommended) and encountered a stack overflow exception on launch. (on the plus side, the installer seems to work fine). (Console log below, not sure how useful it will be).
