Some time ago, JGroups had to be ported to run on Android, but then we removed/changed classes so that it should run on Android without any changes to the code base. Of course, some classes (e.g. demos based on Swing) won't run, but the core should run. I've never developed on Android, but if you point me to some simple JGroups application and instructions how to run it on Android, I'll give it a try! If your code compiles and runs on a mobile device, but doesn't connect to the Linux box, then perhaps you've picked the wrong NIC and/or are using IPv4/IPv6...
