Matt, did your remove nightly.jlcp.org? -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]]On Behalf Of Matthew Schmidt Sent: Monday, May 05, 2003 2:59 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [jl-volunteers] [ISSUES] Commented: (JLCP-197) Website doesn't show well in Opera We were a bit crunched for time and finished late, so it was rushed. This time I would like to see more progression throughout the entire release. As for each module, I suppose you can choose it so they have a different look and feel, providing that is easily explained and easy to do :) After this is all done, we're going to need some documentation on creating a new theme and modifying the site. Also, I'm going to write a module manager Wed. or Thurs that will move all the directories in www around into their own module directories (www\modules\links for example). This will define the actions available to each action and the main panel associated with it. What this does is takes your layout-config.xml file and breaks it down into the smaller components for easier managing. We'll also take the same concept for blocks and for each block config file in www\blocks we'll add the panel information to your layout manager and have it displayed. The end goal here is to make it so people can easily add new modules and blocks simply by writing a config file and some html. Does all that make sense? For your themes, we just need to have a way so that for new modules, the user's pages that they insert are just the logic with all colors and themes automatically being assigned by the theme. Can this be done? Thanks, Matt PS> Many of the tasks that Greg filed are related to the UI, pick up whatever ones you can, but it is imperative that we get the UI easy to be modified. Right now that isn't really the case. Also, go ahead and change the forum taglibs, please make them fit into the design that we have used for Links. Arun, I know you wanted to do those, but we have plenty of other things for you to work on :) Paul Hinze wrote: >Matt, what's going on with forums? Can I write taglibs for that?
