jboss EJb integrating problem

Hi there,   
I am getting the following error on jboss

[ServiceController]Problem starting server jboss.j2ee.jndiName=local/BugEJB,service=EJB
      java.lang.StringIndexOutOfBoundsException: String index out of range: 0

I cant figure out what to do about it


Also I was using tiles earlier for my layout but after integration of EJB tier I have started getting an error saying
org.xml.sax.SAXParserException Element "tiles-definitions" requires additional elements
If someone could help me out with these problems
