Started on this :-) Joe Walnes gave some detailed feedback about taking
ideas from the Debian package manager. It kinda blew my mind, because it
envisioned a situation in which a componenthaus-aware java package installer
existed, and it guided a developer or user through updating his system
configuration to meet the needs of a particular piece of software. I will
forward Joes email right now, as he stated things clearly. All I'll say is
that for now, I'm rolling in only a very small subset of what he describes,
namely support for different types of dependency, and initially "optional"
dependencies. Maybe, someday, that package manager idea will be delivered
on :-)

Cheers,
Mike.
