Description:
Process for 1.0 release:

- ensure all issues are resolve for the relevant version
- update all dependent libs - ideally released libs should be used.
At least for final version make releases (final or beta) of components
which we can control (spice, jcomponent, etc), and inquire for others.
- make first beta release - downloadable from http://dist.jcontainer.org/maven/loom/distributions.
- any codehaus-specific release process?
- allow time (2-4 weeks?) to test beta, in particular implementation of porting guide from phoenix.
- make second beta release if required or final.
