I've cleaned up the docs a bit.   Some new features need to added - eg 
the new logging supported - but perhaps many of the outstanding issues 
for 1.0 could actually be also pushed to 1.1,
and we could release 1.0 as is.
Don't really see any of these as show stoppers.
The 1.0 was always meant as the "port" release.

Thoughts?
