yep - sf is reaching it's limit :-)

as far as where to put it, I would say either a sub-project of 
jcontainer if we feel it's main (or only purpose) is container related,
or we could revive the idea of creating on codehaus a jcomponent project
and using that as an umbrella for all generic components/tools.
Because, we are likely to hit similar problems with other SF components.
