Sorry I didn't search the archive first (it's really uncommon for me,
normally I always read the archive before I write a mail or a posting).

You're totally correct here.
But as JDK 5 is out since nearly 3 years now I think some projects have
to step forward. That's my own opinion - don't be mad on me. ;-)
