Hey Dmitry Forward referencing isn't actually illegal; SWF only requires that objects be defined before they are placed. You'll notice that in the exaample, all of the defines happen before the places: $ swfdump simple_ai.swf [HEADER] File version: 3 [HEADER] File size: 1389 [HEADER] Frame rate: 12.000000 [HEADER] Frame count: 1 [HEADER] Movie width: 111.000 [HEADER] Movie height: 40.000 [009] 3 SETBACKGROUNDCOLOR (ff/ff/ff) [020] 40 DEFINESHAPE3 defines id 0001 [024] 1253 DEFINEBITSLOSSLESS2 defines id 0002 image 111x40 (32 bpp) [020] 33 DEFINESHAPE3 defines id 0003 [01a] 11 PLACEOBJECT2 places id 0001 at depth 0001 [01a] 9 PLACEOBJECT2 places id 0003 at depth 0002 [001] 0 SHOWFRAME 0 [000] 0 END The problem is that jgen is missing the infrastructure to correctly represent the dependencies implicit in this file. ANytime someone uses illustrator to generate an art asset that ha a drop shadow, I see one of these files and it won't work in jgen so I really need to fix it somehow. Fixing this doesn't look easy. Got any suggestions? -Eric __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo!
