Hi,
Problem solved. Because sys.C in JikesRVM is built with old gcc toolchain, and I changed the line in build.xml as "<arg line="-Wl,--no-as-needed ${c++.args} ${rvm.common.args} ${gcspy.lib.dir} -lpthread ${perfevent.lib} ${c++.librt} ${rvm.src} ${c++.rdynamic} -g"/>"
Thanks.
Thanks!
Best
Junjie

Hi Rifat,
Thanks for advice.
Now I have Jikes built successfully with "bin/buildit --with-perfevent localhost production".
The message shows as:
===================== Summary =====================
>Local : ....../jikesrvm-3.1.3
>Build : ....../jikesrvm-3.1.3
>Target : ..../jikesrvm-3.1.3
>Start : Mon Aug 19 17:45:26 CDT 2013
>Config : production [SUCCESS Mon Aug 19 17:50:09 CDT 2013]
>===================================================
>
But the problem is there is no "JikesRVM" in folder "dist/working/production_x86_64-linux/", which makes the execution abort as "rvm: line 30: ........../jikesrvm-3.1.3/dist/working/production_x86_64-linux/JikesRVM: No such file or directory"
Is there something wrong with my build, or usage?
Thanks!
Best
Junjie

Hello,
You need to build Jikes using --with-perfevent.
bin/buildit --with-perfevent localhost production
