The original poster did not say *why* he thought he needed / wanted
a a mark-sweep-only collector.  But in any case, the Treadmill used
for the large objects is, in effect, mark-sweep, since the objects
are never moved and are reclaimed in place.  There would be only
tiny differences in behavior.  And since we are talking about a
non-generational collector, there would be no difference as to when
any given object is reclaimed, etc.
